Aim4Asia

Photo Exhibit

The photographs in this exhibit were created by special young girls, girls on a journey from physical, emotional and spiritual devastation to the quickly approaching horizon of great hope.  Each girl was the victim of unspeakable crimes that resulted from human sex trafficking.  Today the girls reside at Agape Restoration Center.

For a few days in May of 2008, Randy Snook, Professor of Photography at Sierra College in Rocklin, California, gave the girls at Agape Restoration Center photography lessons in the mornings and took them on photo safaris in the afternoons. “Now We Have Hope” is the result of these safaris. There are 42 striking, full color photographs in white wood frames which capture Cambodian life from the desperate poverty to the beauty of palace gardens.  Each girl titled her photograph, and in the photographs, you can see the country of Cambodia through the lens of their eyes and hear the expressions of their hearts through the titles they have given them.  These are a few representative photographs.
